Â Guests at â€œAn Evening of Great Expectationsâ€ enjoyed a fun-filled evening
Over 150 guest attended the 4th Annual “An Evening of Great Expectations” at the Mallet Grille at the International Polo Club on March 11th. Arriving at 6:00 pm, they sipped cocktails, were entertained by an informal fashion show by Emilio Pucci as they bid on over 125 silent auction items.
At 7:30 pm, attendees were ushered in for dinner to a room full of color hot pink tablecloths a with lime green napkins, graciously donated by Kish Events, and live plants on the tables. They were greeted by the celebrity emcee, Tiffany Kenney, WPBF 25 News Anchor. Chairs of the event, Bertram and Diana Firestone, were acknowledged and presented with flowers. Committee Members including Sue Ashe, Shirley Brown, Sally Chester, Karlene Kiminyo, Michele Poole, Valerie Seifert, Father Steven & Erin Thomas, Karen Vaughan, Amy & Tim Whitby, Lou Ann Wilson-Swan and Joan O’Connell, were thanked for all their hard work. Karen Vaughan, Grandma’s Place Board Chair and Father Steven Thoms of St. David’s thanked the guests for attending. Jori and Brett Thomas gave a heart filled speech about their journey to adopt Bradley and Lucy Everhart, graduates of Grandma’s Place. Then it was time for the live auction and call to the heart by Neil Saffer, which raised over $10,000! Guests then danced into the night by the fabulous music of DJ Rocking Ryan of Parisi Events.
