Our Staff

Our team includes an Executive Director, a COO/House Manager, a Family Support Coordinator, and many dedicated caregivers. Every staff member is trained in CPR, emergency first aid, and specialized child care. Those who work directly with children complete a minimum of 40 hours of in-service training per year — covering child abuse indicators, neglect and abandonment, substance abuse, children’s mental health, community resources, and other critical areas.

A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Barry University with a BS in Business Administration, she is also a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) with more than 30 years of fundraising and leadership experience.

Roxanne oversees all aspects of fund development — major gifts, annual giving, special events, grant writing, planned giving, public relations, and marketing — as well as the organization’s financial operations. She is always available to meet with donors, conduct tours, accept gifts, and discuss the many ways you can support Grandma’s Place.

Jackie – COO / House Manager

Jackie has been part of the Grandma’s Place family since 2000. She oversees the daily operations of the shelter — managing expenses, coordinating staff schedules, and ensuring the home meets all health department and DCF regulations. She screens volunteers, maintains children’s records, and, most importantly, designs and implements the varied daily activities that meet each child’s age and developmental needs.

Jackie’s dedication to this work is evident in everything she does. Her commitment to the safety and well-being of every child in our care is, quite simply, unwavering.
